Soundbridge launches with a series of courses led by Machel Montano, drawing on his 43+ year career to uncover the lessons that paved his path to success. It’s built to help you turn your creative capital into a long-term, sustainable career.

This is a skills-based program covering a broad cross-section of the music and creative industries, including songwriting, music production, live performance, branding, marketing, music distribution, mental health & wellness, and more.

Every mentor class is explored from the perspective of lived experiences and brings together more than one artist’s experience. Courses also feature producers, engineers, industry experts and other professionals who have been instrumental in shaping successful careers in music.

Launched in 2024 by Monk Music as part of the Shaping the Future of Innovation Grant (STFO), Soundbridge is an online music education platform dedicated to empowering the next generation of Caribbean music professionals. Funded by the European Union and IDB Lab, in partnership with the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago's Ministry of Planning and Development and the Caribbean Industrial Research Institute (CARIRI), Soundbridge brings together some of the most respected names in the music industry to share what they know to help others succeed.
